I also list the running back in the Top 5 that offers the most value based on salary. Don't forget to keep reading to check out my four best running back options for NFL Week 10.
NFL Week 10 Top Fantasy RBs
1. Le'Veon Bell, $9,800, Pittsburgh at Indianapolis
2. Ezekiel Elliott, $8,800, Dallas at Atlanta
3. Todd Gurley II, $8,700, L.A. Rams vs Houston
4. Leonard Fournette, $8,400, Jacksonville vs L.A. Chargers
5. LeSean McCoy, $8,300, Buffalo vs New Orleans
Most Overpriced Salary
LeSean McCoy, $8,300, Buffalo vs New Orleans
The Saints' defense has gotten better and better as the season has gone on. New Orleans allows 116.1 rushing yards per game. However, the Saints held Tampa RB Doug Martin to 7 yards on 8 carries. New Orleans only allowed 87 total rushing yards. The Saints' D has become one of the best in the league.
McCoy can catch the ball out of the backfield. If his salary was only $7,300 instead of $8,300, he might be worth it. At $8,300, you're asking McCoy to do an awful lot versus one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Best Choice Based on Salary
Leonard Fournette, $8,400, Jacksonville vs L.A. Chargers
Fournette took last week off because he broke a team rule. That didn't change how the Jaguars played in Week 9. Jacksonville rushed for 149 yards from 40 carries versus a tough Cincinnati defense. The Bolts' allow 135.1 rushing yards per game. Fournette is a must add in all DFS formats. He won't sit this Sunday.
NFL Week 10 RB Options
Jerrick McKinnon, $6,600, Minnesota at Washington
McKinnon faces the 17th best defense in the NFL versus his position. In the Vikings' last game, McKinnon scored a sweet 26.2 fantasy points. Washington can have trouble stopping pass-catching RBs. McKinnon fits that mold.
Jordan Howard, $6,100, Chicago vs Green Bay
Howard should be Chicago's workhorse back in the Bears game versus the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Howard figures to pummel a Green Bay defense that allows 118 rushing yards per game. Chicago's entire plan on offense is to control the clock.
Orleans Darkwa, $4,500, New York Giants at San Francisco
San Francisco ranks 32nd in the NFL versus the rush. The Giants offense must get the rushing game going to have any shot of beating the 0 and 9 San Francisco 49'ers. Darkwa is averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He could have a monster game on Nov. 12.
Isaiah Crowell, $4,300, Cleveland at Detroit
Detroit ranks 15th versus Crowell's position. More importantly, Cleveland had some success rushing the football in Week 8 before their Week 9 bye. The Browns rushed for 115 yards, with Crowell rushing for 64 of those 115 yards, versus Minnesota's stout run defense. At a $4,300 salary, he might be worth a look.
