I put together an NFL Week 12 DraftKings Classic Team. This Sunday is tough. 6 teams have already played. Because the DraftKings Classic Team I've put together in Week 12 doesn't include the Monday night game, the pools to choose players from are smaller than they normally are. Check out the team!
QB – Russell Wilson, $7,000, Seattle at San Francisco
Russell averages 25 fantasy points per game. He's definitely one of the top quarterbacks in NFL Week 12. The reason he can be added for a $7,000 salary is because the last time the Seahawks battled San Francisco, Seattle won 12 to 9.
San Francisco's offense should be more effective in this game because Seattle is without 2 starting secondary players. That means Russell is going to have to be better as well. He could have a signature performance versus a bad San Francisco 49'ers defense on Sunday.
RB – Alvin Kamara, $7,900, New Orleans at L.A. Rams
It's always a toss-up between which running back is going to perform better for the New Orleans Saints. Will it be rookie Alvin Kamara? Or, will it be Mark Ingram? I almost always go with Kamara because Ingram always costs more in salary. This Sunday is no different. Kamara is at $7,900. Ingram is at $8,300. Kamara averages 18.6 fantasy points per game. He should eclipse that versus the L.A. Rams on Nov. 26.
RB – Kareem Hunt, $8,00, Kansas City vs Buffalo
Hunt had trouble versus the New York Giants' defense in Week 11. It turns out that the Giants' defense isn't nearly as bad right now as it was earlier in the season. The Giants' D held up well versus Washington in a Thanksgiving Day loss on Nov. 23.
Hunt should have no trouble dominating the 31st ranked defense versus running backs in the NFL. Buffalo yielded close to 300 rushing yards to the Saints in Week 10. In Week 11, the L.A. Chargers rushed for 146 yards versus Buffalo's defense.
WR – Danny Amendola, $5,800, New England vs Miami
Amendola's been limited at practice this week. Chris Hogan won't play on Sunday. That leaves Tom Brady throwing the football to Brandin Cooks, who figures to be double-teamed, and TE Rob Gronkowski if he doesn't throw it to Amendola.
Terrific Tom should look Amendola's way for much of this game. I'm hoping he busts out with at least a TD as well as 6 catches versus the Fins' terrible defense.
WR – Paul Richardson, $4,700, Seattle at San Francisco
Richardson might get behind San Francisco's defense a couple of times on Sunday. Russell Wilson has developed a pretty good rapport with Richardson. He's faster than any defensive player in San Francisco's secondary. Richardson has caught 5 TD passes this season. He could add to that total on Sunday.
WR – Marqise Lee, $4,600, Jacksonville at Arizona
Lee isn't 100%. There's also the chance that cornerback Patrick Peterson shuts him down. My fingers are crossed that Peterson has some issues covering the tough Marqise Lee. If Arizona commits defensive resources to stop Jacksonville's excellent rushing attack, QB Blake Bortles and WR Marqise Lee might catch the secondary napping.
TE – Greg Kittle, $2,800, San Francisco vs Seattle
Kittle was a full participant at the 49'ers' practice on Thanksgiving Day. Kittle has gotten more looks than all other San Francisco 49'er tight ends combined.
I liked Carolina TE Ed Dickson here. Dickson should play second fiddle to returning tight-end Greg Olsen on Sunday. With what I've got left in salary, Kittle presents my best shot at garnering significant fantasy points.
FLEX – Derrick Henry, RB, $4,700, Tennessee at Indianapolis
Derrick Henry's best game this season came versus the Indianapolis Colts. It's about time that the Titans decide on an RB1. It's obvious to me that the RB1 for Tennessee is Derrick Henry. Hopefully, he comes up huge on Nov. 26 at a low salary cost.
DEF – Jacksonville Jaguars, $4,100, Jacksonville at Arizona
The best defense in the NFL faces a team with a back-up QB. My guess, is that Blaine Gabbert starts for the Cardinals on Sunday. If he doesn't, Drew Stanton will. Arizona has no rushing attack. The Jags' D could score over 30 fantasy points again.
