NFL Week 3 Sunday is only a couple of days away. This season, I'm playing both an NFL DraftKings Pick'em Team and an NFL DraftKings Classic Team. Below is my NFL Week 3 Pick'em Team. Check it out!
T1 Derek Carr, Oakland at Washington – Carr has the best matchup of the T1 choices in NFL Week 3. He faces Washington's defense. Although it's a road game, Carr shouldn't find trouble. Aaron Rodgers faces a tough task versus Cincinnati's secondary while Matt Ryan plays on the road versus the Detroit Lions. I like Carr.
T2 Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh at Chicago – Big Ben targeted Antonio 11 times last week. He only caught 5 passes. No worries. Brown should see 11 targets again this week. He could have one of those spectacular 2 TD, 12 catch games that he's known for against the Bears' D.
T3 Kareem Hunt, RB, Kansas City at L.A. Chargers – Hunt should have no trouble racking up rushing yards, catches, and TDs against the Chargers' defense. Although Miami only scored 19 points against LAC's D in Week 2, RB Jay Ajayi rushed for 122 yards. Hunt should rush for more than that on Sunday.
T4 Mike Evans, WR, Tampa Bay at Minnesota – I know that Minnesota's defense took away WR Antonio Brown in Week 2. I don't believe it can afford to take away WR Mike Evans in Week 3. Evans can beat any cornerback that Minnesota puts on him. If the Vikings' D allows WR DeSean Jackson to get behind it, Jameis is going to burn Minny's secondary the same way Big Ben did. Evans at T4 is a steal.
T5 Michael Crabtree, WR, Oakland at Washington – Carr's favorite wide receiver in the red zone is Michael Crabtree. Washington's defense isn't very good. Oakland should score close to 40 points in this game. What's not to like?
T6 Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina vs New Orleans – McCaffrey automatically becomes QB Cam Newton's security blanket with TE Greg Olsen out until Week 12. The Saints' defense is decent against the rush. That's why McCaffrey figures to haul in 12 passes for 140 yards and 2 TDs in this game.
T7 DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Houston at New England – New England's defense is ranked 27th against wide receivers. Hopkins saw 11 targets last week. QB DeShaun Watson faced a tougher secondary in Week 2 at Cincinnati than what he faces versus the Patriots on Sunday.
T8 Tarik Cohen, RB, Chicago vs Pittsburgh – Chicago QB Mike Glennon was way too pumped up when facing Tampa Bay, his former team, in Week 2. I think Glennon settles down. RB Jordan Howard is listed as probable. But, Howard doesn't have the same skill set that Cohen has. The Bears must use Cohen to keep pace with Pittsburgh on Sep. 24.
Good luck with your DraftKings DFS Fantasy Teams in NFL Week 3!
