NFL Week 4 is upon us. I list the Top 5 NFL Wide Receivers, based on DraftKings' salary for Sunday in Week 4. Check out my thoughts after looking at the list.
NFL Week 4 Top Fantasy RBs
1. Antonio Brown, $9,300, Pittsburgh at Baltimore
2. Odell Beckham Jr., $8,900, New York Giants at Tampa Bay
3. Julio Jones, $8,800, Atlanta vs Buffalo
4. A.J. Green, $8,600, Cincinnati at Cleveland
5. Brandin Cooks, $7,600, New England vs Carolina
Julio Jones, $8,800, Atlanta vs Buffalo
Buffalo has one of the top defenses in the NFL. Opponent's average 203 passing yards per game. Since the Bills stop opponents from rushing for more than 75 yards per game, Buffalo's D must be considered legit. Almost as important is the fact that Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott knows Atlanta well. He understands how to defend against Julio Jones and the Falcons' passing attack. Why? McDermott built the Carolina Panthers' defense.
Best Choice Based on Salary
Brandin Cooks, New England vs Carolina
Cooks caught 5 of 7 targets for 131 yards in Week 3. He scored 2 TDs. The Patriots barely hung on in a 36 to 33 win over the Houston Texans. At $1,000 less than A.J. Green, Cooks offers more value against a decent defense in the Carolina Panthers than Green does versus the Browns' defense. Let's not forget that Carolina's D is all about stopping the rush first. Then, the Panthers worry about the pass.
Also, does anyone truly feel that New England's defense can stop Carolina's offense? The Patriots are destined to pass the football in Sunday's matchup.
NFL Week 4 WR Options
Chris Hogan, $6,000, New England vs Carolina
If the Panthers work to contain Cooks, Tom Brady might find Hogan open down the seams. Hogan can take any pass he catches to the house. For a $6,000 salary, he offers tremendous value.
DeAndre Hopkins, $6,400, Houston vs Tennessee
The Titans rank 26th versus the pass. Tennessee allows 275 yards per game. Hopkins has caught 21 passes for 204 yards. He's caught a TD pass. The matchup implies that DeAndre has his best game this season versus Tennessee in Week 4.
Golden Tate, $6,300, Detroit at Minnesota
Minnesota ranks 27th versus the pass. The Vikings rank 30th versus Tate's position. Tate has been targeted 27 times this season. He's got 21 catches. That's a decent percentage of targets to catches. Minnesota's defense is excellent against the rush. It's hard to see the Lions not airing it out in this game.
Robert Woods, $3,900, L.A. Rams at Dallas
Arizona WR Larry Fitzgerald caught 13 of 15 targets for 149 yards and a TD against the Dallas defense in NFL Week 3. Although there's no doubt that WR Sammy Watkins is the Rams' WR1, Woods should have a decent day against the Cowboys' secondary.
It's impossible to stop both Woods and Watkins. Dallas is almost guaranteed to double-up Watkins. That should leave Woods open plenty of times when the Rams have the football.
