NFL Week 5 Sunday is only a couple of days away. This season, I'm playing both an NFL DraftKings Pick'em Team and an NFL DraftKings Classic Team. Below is my NFL Week 5 Pick'em Team. This NFL Week 5 Pick'em Team only includes players from the early games. Check it out!
T1 Carson Palmer, QB, Arizona at Philadelphia – Palmer should have a fantastic passing day versus Philadelphia horrible pass defense. Arizona's offense has started to pick it up the last couple of games. Because RB David Johnson went down in Week 1, it only makes sense that Palmer had to adjust. I think the real Arizona Cardinals comes out to play in NFL Week 5. Don't be surprised if Palmer throws for 300 yards and 3 TD passes.
T2 Le'Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh vs Jacksonville – Bell exploded for 144 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in Week 4. Just because Antonio Brown threw a fit in Week 4, it doesn't mean that Pitt goes away from handing the ball off to Bell. Jacksonville allows an unreal 165.5 rushing yards per game. Bell could explode for 200 rushing yards in this matchup on Sunday.
T3 Carlos Hyde, San Francisco at Indianapolis – Hyde is listed as questionable for San Francisco's game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Hyde practiced on Thursday. There's no way he doesn't play. The Colts' defense allows 112 rushing yards per game. Hyde already has 17 catches this season. Coach Kyle Shanahan should have developed a strategy for Week 5's matchup around Carlos. He could have a monster game versus the Colts.
T4 Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina at Detroit – The Lions allow around 85 rushing yards per game. What it means is that to move the football Carolina's going to have to shuck the rushing attack with James Stewart and throw to McCaffrey. The Lions' defense is well-positioned to stop either of Carolina's wide receivers from having a great game. I think McCaffrey catches at least 10 passes on Sunday. I wouldn't be surprised to see Christian also score his first TD as a pro.
T5 Duke Johnson Jr., RB, Cleveland vs New York Jets – I like Duke Johnson's matchup with the New York Jets. I don't love it. I also believe that Cleveland might utilize Isaiah Crowell way more in Week 5 than they have in the past couple of games. The reason I've added Johnson is because I'm not in love with any of the other players in Tier 5. If Duke can catch 6 passes, rush for around 40 yards, and score at least 1 TD, I'll be ecstatic.
T6 Andre Ellington, RB, Arizona at Philadelphia – Ellington saw 14 targets last week. Arizona loves to throw to the running back. No other running back on the roster can catch passes as well as Ellington. There's a chance for Ellington to be a huge factor in Saturday's match up with Philly.
Good luck with your DraftKings DFS Fantasy Teams in NFL Week 5!
