My NFL Week 6 DraftKings Team is all about finding value in the wide receiver position. If both of my under $4,000 WR picks can score some fantasy points, I might have a shot to cash with this week's DraftKings Classic DFS Team.
I have no doubt that the Houston Texans air it out versus Cleveland's defense. Houston has no choice but to win games by outscoring their opponents now that JJ Watt is out for the season. 2 of my Top 4 players are with the Houston Texans. Check out the NFL Week 6 Classic DFS Team!
QB DeShaun Watson, $6,700, Houston vs Cleveland – DeShaun is already the most electrifying football player in the NFL. He's one of those rare quarterbacks, ala Randall Cunningham, that doesn't just rush with the football. He can also pass it. In only 4 games started, DeShaun has 12 TD passes to only 4 interceptions. He's averaged 8.1 yards per rush. He's run for 2 scores. Houston's playbook is wide-open for this rookie QB. So far, he's taken advantage each and every time he's stepped onto the football field.
RB Todd Gurley II, $7,700, L.A. Rams at Jacksonville – Gurley is not only one of the best rushers in the NFL, he's also one of the best RB pass-catchers in the NFL. Don't be fooled by the performance of Jacksonville's defense against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5. The Jags have one of the worst rush defenses in the NFL. The reason is because Jacksonville's strength is rushing passers and locking down wide receivers.
Gurley should sneak out of the backfield for at least 6 catches in this. That should be on top of the 150 rushing yards he should get close to amassing.
RB Leonard Fournette, $8,000, Jacksonville vs L.A. Rams – The Rams' defense is all about stopping the pass. LAR ranks 10th in the NFL in pass yards allowed per game. Opposing running backs average 133.6 yards per game on the ground versus the Rams' D. Fournette is listed as probable. I think he plays no matter what. He could post a close to 200 yards rushing, 2 TD game versus the Rams on Sunday.
WR DeAndre Hopkins, $8,100, Houston vs Cleveland – DeShaun Watson hasn't targeted DeAndre Hopkins less than 12 times in any game that Watson has started. In NFL Week 4, Cleveland allowed Indianapolis WR T.Y. Hilton to catch 7 of 9 passes for 153 yards. One of the catches went for a TD. Watson to Hopkins should make the highlight reel at least 3 times in NFL Week 6.
WR Ted Ginn Jr., $3,600, New Orleans vs Detroit – Because I added Fournette, Gurley, and Hopkins, there wasn't a lot left for me to fill out the other positions. Tedd Ginn Jr. hasn't been one of those must start skill players for the New Orleans Saints. Also, WR Willie Snead should play on Sunday.
But, Ginn Jr. does return punts. He could always break one. Also, Detroit's defense must pay careful attention to WR Michael Thomas as well as RBs Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram. Ginn could be in line for a great game. At only $3,600, I'm not expecting a whole lot.
WR Ricardo Louis, $3,900, Cleveland at Houston – If there is one player on my DraftKings DFS Classic Team for NFL Week 6 that I think posts much better stats than what his salary implies, it's Cleveland WR Ricardo Louis. The Browns should be behind all day in this game on Sunday. Cleveland must pass the ball to just remain competitive.
Browns coach Hue Jackson has already said that Kevin Hogan will start Week 6. Hogan targeted Louis 8 times in Week 5 after Hogan took over for DeShone Kizer. Signs point to Louis having a nice game versus Houston's less than stellar secondary.
TE Cameron Brate, $3,900, Tampa Bay at Arizona – Arizona corner Patrick Peterson is listed as questionable due to a quadricep issue. I think Peterson plays. Even if he doesn't, Tampa QB Jameis Winston won't exclusively go to WR Mike Evans. He'll still go to Cameron Brate. Brate saw 6 targets versus the New York Jets in Week 4. In Week 5, Brate saw 9 targets.
Arizona's defense gave up 6 passes to Philly tight-end Zach Ertz in Week 5. Ertz turned those 6 passes into 61 yards and a TD. Brate should have a nice game versuse the Cards on Oct. 15.
FLEX Javorius Allen, RB, $5,400, Baltimore vs Chicago – I think there's a chance Allen breaks out with a monster game against the Chicago Bears in Week 6. Allen rushed 21 times in Week 5 for 73 yards. he scored a rushing TD. Starting RB Terrance West is injured while Alex Collins has fumbling issues. Allen's the pass-catching RB on Baltimore's roster. The Bears allowed Minnesota RB Jerrick McKinnon to dominate them in NFL Week 5. Allen could have a similar game against the Bears in Week 6.
DST New Orleans Saints, $2,700, New Orleans vs Detroit – The Saints' defense gelled in Week 3 when it held Carolina to only 13 points. In Week 4, New Orleans' D shut out the Miami Dolphins. The defense got a week off, which means it should be well-rested to take on a Detroit team that only averages 288.2 total yards per game. There's some value here with the Saints' defense at only $2,700.
