Check out the highest salary cost quarterbacks for Sunday's slate of NFL Week 6 Games. As to be expected, Terrific Tom Brady, who has thrown 11 TDs to 1 interception, is the high-cost QB. Tom faces the New York Jets, a team that he's demolished in the past.
Is Tom a play against? Or, is someone else the QB to stay away from on the list? Don't forget to check out my NFL Week 6 QB Options.
NFL Week 6 Top Fantasy QBs
1. Tom Brady, $8,300, New England at New York Jets
2. Aaron Rodgers, $7,300, Green Bay at Minnesota
3. Drew Brees, $7,200, New Orleans vs Detroit
4. Matt Ryan, $7,000, Atlanta vs Miami
5. Kirk Cousins, $6,800, Washington vs San Francisco
Matt Ryan, $7,000, Atlanta vs Miami
Sure, Brady's going off at $1,300 more than Ryan. He's still a better addition to all NFL Week 6 DFS teams than Matty Ice. Why? Ryan hasn't become comfortable with new offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian's system. The Falcons are also averaging 126 rushing yards per game. That should allow Atlanta to control this one without Ryan having to throw all over the field.
Best Choice Based on Salary
Drew Brees, $7,200, New Orleans vs Detroit
Detroit's pass defense isn't very good. Matt Ryan threw for 294 yards and 2 TD passes. Minnesota back-up Case Keenum threw for 219 yards. Carolina QB Cam Newton destroyed the Lions' pass defense with 355 passing yards and 3 TD passes.
Brees hasn't thrown a pick this season. He's thrown 8 TD passes. He's completing 69% of his passes. Brees could throw 3 to 4 TDs in this game.
NFL Week 6 QB Options
DeShaun Watson, $6,700, Houston vs Cleveland
You won't get a deep QB discount by adding Watson. Still, it's obvious that Houston believes the only way to win is by throwing the football. Neither of the Texans' top 2 running backs, Lamar Miller or rookie D'Onta Foreman, have broken out with a great game. Watson should throw like crazy, again, versus the Cleveland Browns like he's had to do in most of Houston's games this season.
Jameis Winston, $6,200, Tampa Bay at Arizona
Jameis averaged 288 passing yards per game. That ranks third in the NFL. Arizona's pass defense yielded 4 TD passes and 304 yards to Philly's Carson Wentz in Week 5. Winston could punish Zona's overrated secondary in Week 6.
Josh McCown, $5,200, New York Jets vs New England
The Patriots field one of the worst defenses in the NFL week in and week out. The Patriots allow 323 passing yards per game. Opponents average over 28 points per game versus New England's defense. McCown could have a huge game on Sunday.
Case Keenum, $5,000, Minnesota vs Green Bay
Minnesota battles rival Green Bay at home. Keenum hasn't thrown a pick yet this season. He's completing close to 65% of his passes. The Packers allowed Dallas QB Dak Prescott to throw for 251 yards and 3 TDs in Week 5.
