My NFL Week 7 DraftKings Classic Team is built around the QB position. I'm going with Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott who has thrown 6 TDs and has rushed for a TD in Dallas' last 2 games. I don't believe adding WR Dez Bryant at a $7,800 salary is worth it. That could bite me since Dak to Dez could end up the best QB-WR combination in NFL Week 7.
QB Dak Prescott, $7,300, Dallas at San Francisco – Dak has been on fire in Dallas' last couple of games. RB Ezekiel Elliott will play on Sunday. I don't believe he dominates on the ground. The 49'ers are much better at stopping the rush than they are at stopping the pass. Not only that, but Dak has no problem running with the football. He posted 30.7 fantasy points against Green Bay's defense in Week 5 before Dallas' bye. He should, if not exceed 30 points, then be close to it after the Boys battle the 49'ers in Week 7.
RB Mark Ingram, $6,700, New Orleans at Green Bay – I don't believe Ingram's 34 fantasy points versus the Detroit Lions is an anomaly. He could end up approaching at least 30 points versus a Green Bay defense that allowed Jerrick McKinnon to score 25.9 fantasy points in Week 6. Ingram is the Saints' top pass-catching RB. He'll lose some carries to Alvin Kamara. He might even lose some catches in the passing game. Because the Saints' offense this season is built around their running backs, I still feel Ingram's a great addition at less than $7,000 in salary.
RB Adrian Peterson, $5,800, Arizona at L.A. Rams – I love Adrian Peterson against the Rams' defense this Sunday. Peterson showed what he can do versus a better run defense in Week 6 when he pummeled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I'm surprised AP is at less than $6,000 on DraftKings. The Rams allow 139.5 rushing yards per game on average. That ranks 29th in the NFL.
WR Jarvis Landry, $6,800, Miami vs New York Jets – Landry's easily Miami's most targeted wide receiver. WR Devante Parker hasn't practiced all week. Landry should once again be Jay Cutler's top targeted pass catcher. The Jets' defense is decent versus the pass. Expect the Jets to put an 8th man in the box, probably rookie safety Jamal Adams, to stop Miami from rushing the football with Jay Ajayi. The Fins best shot at scoring points should fall on Cutler's and Landry's shoulders.
WR Keenan Allen, $6,300, L.A. Chargers vs Denver – His DraftKings' salary has dropped since Week 1 when he scored a TD. Allen scored that TD versus the Denver Broncos. The Broncos' D is more about stopping the rush this season than stopping the pass. If the Broncos want to beat the Chargers on the road in NFL Week 7, they must find a way to contain RB Melvin Gordon. Allen remains Philip Rivers favorite target. I feel Keenan's due for a big game.
WR – Robert Woods, $4,000, L.A. Rams vs Arizona – I can't believe Woods is at $4,000. The reason QB Jared Goff hasn't developed a strong enough connection with Sammy Watkins is because in addition to Watkins arriving late to the Rams' training camp, he also requires the most attention from every opponent's secondary. That won't change this Sunday with Patrick Peterson, Arizona's top corner, shadowing Watkins all day. Woods is a decent wide receiver. He's a bargain at $4,000.
TE – Greg Kittle, $3,600, San Francisco vs Dallas -Kittle is one of the most targeted tight-ends in the NFL. He should see plenty more targets now that his college quarterback, C.J. Beathard, is starting under center. Dallas' defense isn't bad versus opposing tight-ends. But, Kittle should see 8 to 12 targets in this game. He has a chance to outplay his DraftKings' salary.
FLEX Jordan Howard, $6,400, Chicago vs Carolina – Chicago is one of the better rushing teams on the ground. The Bears' rushing attack is ranked 3rd in the NFL. If Chicago wants to have any shot of beating Carolina, they'll need to rush the football so as to not put rookie QB Mitch Trubisky in too many long passing situations. Howard averages 19.5 fantasy points in home games. Carolina LB Luke Kuechly is listed as questionable to play due to a concussion.
DST New Orleans Saints, $2,700, New Orleans at Green Bay – The Saints' D accounted for over 30 fantasy points last Sunday. New Orleans faces a back-up QB in Brett Hundley. Green Bay's offense won't be the same with Hundley under center. At the salary, I just don't see another defense worth putting on my DraftKings Classic Team.
