NFL Week 9 is here. I've put together what I feel is a decent NFL Week 9 DraftKings Classic DFS Team. Hopefully, I'll be able to cash. Check it out!
QB – Dak Prescott, $6,700, Dallas vs Kansas City
Dak faces the 30th ranked defense versus quarterbacks in the NFL. RB Ezekiel Elliott got a stay of his 6-game suspension. That should help open things up even more for Prescott. It's impossible not to key on Elliott. I like Dak to score way more than what his salary implies.
RB – Alvin Kamara, $6,300, New Orleans vs Tampa Bay
Mark Ingram is at over a $7,000 salary in NFL Week 9. Because Ingram fumbled twice last Sunday, I believe Kamara gets a few more carries and a few more targets than he did in Week 8. Alvin Kamara could prove to be the Saints' top fantasy stats player on Sunday.
RB – Doug Martin, $5,800, Tampa Bay at New Orleans
New Orleans has a much improved defense. When it comes to the Saints' D, though, there's always a but. The but in this case is that the Saints allow 120.3 rushing yards per game. Not only that, but Green Bay RB Aaron Jones rushed for 131 yards and a TD in Week 7. In Week 8, Jordan Howard rushed for 102 yards. Not bad, you say? The Packers and Bears started their backup quarterbacks.
WR – Dez Bryant, $6,400, Dallas vs Kansas City
Because KC must pay attention to Zeke, Dez could have a huge game. Patrick Peterson is a good corner. He might not be good enough to stop Dak from throwing to Dez Bryant. Bryant is one of the top red zone targets in the NFL. Prescott usually goes to him. I think he has a monster game versus Kansas City's secondary.
WR – Tyreek Hill, $6,700, Kansas City at Dallas
I like Hill versus the Cowboys' secondary. Hill should have no trouble getting separation versus whichever corner the Boys leave on Hill. Tyreek is so explosive that it's impossible to leave him on the bench. KC doesn't have a defense. Plus, like KC versus Dallas, the Cowboys' D must pay attention to RB Kareem Hunt. Oh, yes, the Cowboys also must pay attention to tight-end Travis Kelce.
WR – Sammy Watkins, $4,200, L.A. Rams at New York Giants
Watkins hasn't been nearly the ferocious fantasy football monster that all of us thought he'd be in Sean McVeigh's offensive system. I'm not worried. It's only a matter of time before teams must switch up their defenses to account for Todd Gurley II. That should happen this Sunday. Watkins might finally get it going in NFL Week 9. If he does, the $42,000 will look like a gift.
TE – Jack Doyle, $4,300, Indianapolis at Houston
QB Jacoby Brissett has started to throw to Jack Doyle with regularity the past couple of games. Houston's offense won't be nearly as formidable with Tom Savage at QB as they were with DeShaun Watson at QB. Still, it's difficult to see Brissett not having to utilize his tight end because Houston should score plenty of points.
FLEX – Adrian Peterson, $5,600, Arizona at San Francisco
San Francisco ranks 32nd in the NFL against the rush. Adrian Peterson is now the Cardinals' top offensive weapon. There's no way getting around it because the Cards have the choice of starting either Drew Stanton or Blaine Gabbert versus the Niners on Nov. 5.
DEF – Jacksonville Jaguars, $3,800, Jacksonville vs Cincinnati
Jacksonville's defense has already garnered 33 sacks this season. Cincinnati's offensive line is one of the worst in the NFL. I usually don't pay this kind of salary for a defense. In this case, I definitely believe it's worth it.
