I put together an NFL Week 9 DraftKings Pick'em Team for this Sunday, Nov. 5. Check it out!
T1 – Leonard Fournette, Jacksonville vs Cincinnati
Fournette averages 23.2 fantasy points per game. Although he faces a very good Cincinnati rush defense, he's going to get the carries. He's also 100% healthy, which means he could have a monster game versus the Bengals on Sunday. The other two choices are Todd Gurley II and Julio Jones. I'll go with Fournette.
T2 – Mark Ingram, RB, New Orleans vs Tampa Bay
Ingram averages 17.5 points per game. In Saints' home games, his fantasy point production averages close to 22 per. Truth be told, I'm not sure how effective he is this Sunday. I'm definitely not sure if he's more effective than Alvin Kamara. But, I can't add Will Fuller V now that DeShaun Watson is out for the season. I also can't add WR Mike Evans because the Saints' pass rush is pretty good.
T3 – Zach Ertz, TE, Philadelphia vs Denver
Ertz has already scored 6 TDs. He showed up on Philly's injury report this week. No problem. The fact is that Ertz is more than ready to go versus a good Denver defense. Did I write that Denver has a good defense? Okay, they do. But, the Broncos are ranked 30th versus opposing tight-end. Ertz could have a special game on Sunday.
T4 – Carson Wentz, Philadelphia vs Denver
Carson Wentz is everyone's mid-season NFL MVP. That's how well he's playing. I believe Denver is the best team the Eagles have battled since losing to Kansas City in Week 2. Wentz should be okay as long as he throws the ball to Erz. Ertz plus Wentz is sort of a perfect storm. The QB to TE combo could be magic on Nov. 5.
T5 – Jacoby Brissett, Indianapolis at Houston
Houston's defense is beat up while the Colts don't have much of a rushing attack. Brissett should be okay. He's gone more to his tight-end in recent weeks. That's good news. Houston should still score some points, which will force Brissett to throw and run. I'm not feeling the other quarterbacks at Tier 5. Trevor Siemian, who is listed at Tier 5, won't even start on Sunday.
T6 – Doug Martin, Tampa Bay at New Orleans
The Saints' defense is pretty good. Unfortunately, New Orleans' D allows running backs to, well, run all over them. The only way for Tampa Bay to beat the Saints is for Martin to control the clock. Throwing the ball versus the Saints won't work because they've got a good pass rush.
T7 – DeMarco Murray, Tennessee vs Baltimore
Murray's healthy enough to carry the load versus the Baltimore Ravens. Because Baltimore goes into Week 9 off a stunning 40 to 0 win over Miami, a backward move on defense could be in the works. Murray is still Tennessee's RB1. He offers great value at Tier 7.
T8 – Jack Doyle, TE, Indianapolis at Houston
If I'm right, Doyle could prove to be the best pick for Tier 8. Doyle caught 12 of 14 Jacoby Brissett passes for 121 yards and a TD in Week 8. That was versus Cincinnati's defense. Houston's defense is worse due to the injuries.
