NBA Wednesday, Nov. 8, DraftKings Team

November 8, 2017 By D.S. Williamson Leave a Comment

I put together an NBA DraftKing's Team for a contest on Wednesday, Nov. 8. The NBA games that take place on Wednesday are:  Indiana at Detroit, New York at Orlando, L.A. Lakers at Boston, Miami at Phoenix, and Minnesota at Golden State. Check out my team!

PG – Jeff Teague, $6,500, Minnesota at Golden State – Minnesota hasn't hit the court since Nov. 5. All Minnesota players should bring fresh legs into this battle with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. Teague's averaging over 33 fantasy points per game. He scored more than 47 fantasy points versus the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 5. The disparity between Teague's salary and Steph Curry's salary is close to $3,000. I'll go with Teague.

SG – Avery Bradley, $5,500, Detroit vs Indiana – The Pistons haven't played since Nov. 4. Avery Bradley averages 16.3 points, 2.9 boards, 1.6 steals, and 2.1 assists per game. The Pacers rank 16th in the NBA versus Bradley's position. The Pacers also allow opponents to shoot 48% from the field and 36.5% from three. Bradley could score way more fantasy points than what his $5,500 salary suggests.

SF – Dion Waiters, $5,700, Miami at Phoenix – Waiters took the last couple of games off to be with his wife. The couple celebrated the birth of his daughter. Now that he's back, he should garner at least 30 minutes if not 35 minutes. While he was away, Miami won 1 game while losing the other. Waiters averages 27.3 fantasy points per game. Phoenix ranks 19th against his position.

PF – Taj Gibson, $4,500, Minnesota at Golden State – Gibson was only 2 points away from his third straight double-double versus the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 5. Golden State ranks 23rd versus Taj's position. He's averaging 23.5 fantasy points per. He could score 25 or more. At $4,500, that's not bad.

C – Andre Drummond, $8,400, Detroit vs Indiana – Drummond averages 42.7 fantasy points per matchup. Indiana ranks 21st in the NBA versus Andre's position. He could have a huge game for the Pistons tonight. 50 to 60 points is not out of the question because Indiana center Domantas Sabonis might not even travel to Detroit. Even if he does, I like Drummond's matchup versus the Pacers' frontcourt players.

G – Goran Dragic, $6,800, Miami at Phoenix – Dragic averages 33.2 fantasy points per game. He faces the 30th ranked defense in the league versus the PG position. I see Dragic having a huge game versus the Suns on Wednesday night. He hasn't played since Golden State put a beat down on the Heat this past Monday on Nov. 6.

F – Aaron Gordon, $7,200, Orlando vs New York Knicks – Gordon's become one of my favorite frontcourt players to add to all my DraftKings contest teams. He goes into the battle versus the Knicks having scored a fantasy double-double. He's averaging 38 fantasy points per game. The matchup isn't exactly great because the Knicks do rank 10th versus Gordon's position. I'm not too worried, though. AG can slip out and hit the three-point shot. He shoots 55.9% from three. If that doesn't work, he can drive to the basket on any player along New York's frontline.

UTIL – Marcus Smart, $5,300, Boston vs L.A. Lakers – Smart shot 40% from the field in Boston's 110 to 107 win over the Atlanta Hawks this past Monday night. That's 7% better than his season average of 33%. Even with his shot not falling, Smart's averaging 29 minutes per game that's translated to over 27 fantasy points per. The Lakers rank 26th versus Smart's position. Smart could garner some defensive fantasy points guarding Lonzo Ball in tonight's matchup.
