NFL Week 4 Sunday is only a couple of days away. This season, I'm playing both an NFL DraftKings Pick'em Team and an NFL DraftKings Classic Team. Below is my NFL Week 4 Pick'em Team. Check it out!
T1 Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh at Baltimore – The other two choices in Tier 1 are A.J. Green and Julio Jones. Green could have a terrific game versus the Cleveland Browns. Jones and Atlanta battle the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. I don't like any Falcon offensive players.
Baltimore's defense is just okay this season. Pittsburgh's offense, again, is relying on Antonio to carry the entire team. QB Ben Roethlisberger targeted Brown 14 times in Week 3. He might target him 17 times in Week 4.
T2 Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Dallas vs L.A. Rams – Buffalo RB LeSean McCoy faces a weak Atlanta rush defense. But, Buffalo isn't relying as much on McCoy this season as last season. Le'Veon Bell is the other choice. Bell doesn't look like the same player to me.
The set-up couldn't be better for Zeke. The Rams' defense is based on stopping the pass. Dallas' offense is based on rushing the football. Elliott might rush for 150 yards and score 3 TDs versus LAR on Sunday.
T3 Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina at New England – T3 is deep. Todd Gurley, Stefon Diggs, Devonta Freeman, and Brandin Cooks are all at T3. I don't like Gurley in this matchup. Gurley faces a staunch Dallas rush defense. More importantly to me, Gurley's fumbled the football 4 times already this season.
Diggs had a monster game in NFL Week 3. It's hard to see him putting together 2 straight huge games. Freeman faces one of the staunchest defenses in the NFL. Cooks' numbers were great in Week 3. However, Terrific Tom only targeted Brandin 7 times.
If Carolina is to stick with the Patriots on the scoreboard, Christian McCaffrey must have a huge game. There's just no way around it.
T4 Dalvin Cook, RB, Minnesota vs Detroit – Detroit has a decent rush defense. Luckily, Dalvin Cook has excellent hands. He caught all 5 of his targets for 72 yards last week. He also rushed 27 times for 97 yards and scored a TD. Minnesota's getting Dalvin the ball no matter what. It's just a question of how many catches and how many TDs in this game.
T5 Cam Newton, QB, Carolina at New England – I'm taking a huge chance on Cam Newton to get out of his QB funk in NFL Week 4. My guess, is that the Panthers are going to allow Cam to run more than he has in the first 3 games of the season. When Newton stays in the pocket, he's not using his instincts.
Cam's an instincts first QB ala Brett Favre. The man can definitely play. It's just a question of he being comfortable. Facing the worst pass defense in the NFL, the Patriots', on Sunday should definitely help. I think Newton could account for 4 TDs in Week 4.
T6 Jared Goff, QB, L.A. Rams at Dallas – Goff has no choice but to pick apart Dallas' secondary. The Cowboys' rush defense is too talented for RB Todd Gurley to get big gains. The Rams' offense is based on passing the ball. Nobody's talking about how LAR made the mistake of drafting Jared Goff instead of Carson Wentz first in the 2016 NFL Draft. Not anymore. Not after Jared Goff has thrown for 817 yards, 5 TDs to only 1 pick, and is completing over 70% of his passes.
T7 Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati at Cleveland – Mixon had a decent game versus a much better team in NFL Week 3. He has yet to find the end zone. That should change in NFL Week 4 when the Bengals battle the terrible Cleveland Browns. Mixon might make up for his lack of touchdowns by scoring 2 TDs in Week 4.
T8 Mike Gillislee, RB, New England vs Carolina – Gillislee failed to score a TD last week. I don't think he goes 2 weeks in a row without scoring a TD. He might get 2 versus Carolina. This is especially true if the Patriots want to slow the game down some because Cam and Christian are tearing up New England's defense.
Good luck with your DraftKings DFS Fantasy Teams in NFL Week 4!
